The Vizsla Club of Colorado, based in Denver, is home to dual quality dogs that excel in the field, the show ring, and at having fun and being companions.  Our welcoming nature has made us the largest Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club!  And we aren’t just about the Rocky Mountains - our membership extends to the Texas Panhandle, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming!  We enjoy seeing our Vizslas extremely happy, and there isn’t anything in the world these bird dogs love more than a good ol’ bird hunt.  As such, our organization was created to focus on AKC hunt tests and field trials for our Vizslas.  Check out our Membership Wall of Fame, to see all the AKC Titles our dogs have earned.

Our membership also includes other bird dog enthusiasts and we are proud to be the home of eight Weimaraners and their owners!  So even if you don’t have a baby V, if you are new to hunting, or new to the breed, the Vizsla Club of Colorado will help you feel right at home.

The Vizsla Club of Colorado is a Licensed Club of the American Kennel Club.  We are licensed to hold pointing breed hunt tests and field trials, which you can learn more about on our hunt test and field trail page.  The VCC also hosts an annual real-life hunting trip called Red Dogs and Roosters.  In 2008, Red Dogs and Roosters took us pheasant hunting in beautiful Chamberlain, SD!  In 2009 we had to organize and put on our first set of sanctioned events, so instead of RD&R, we held VCC Hunt Colorado in Tamarack Ranch, CO, just outside of Denver.  The 2010 RD&R hunt will be in Goodland, Kansas, see our events page for registration information!
